The Final Conservatory

This September, I’ll welcome one final intimate group of practitioners into the three-month Conservatory as it has existed: a close-study experience combining a comprehensive curriculum with live online teaching, conversation, mentorship, practice, and direct access to me throughout the term.

My Sound Bath is evolving in 2027, and with it, the way this education will be offered.

So this Fall Term is intentionally personal.

We’ll study together. We’ll talk through the real questions that arise as you begin working with sound. I’ll listen to your playing, help you develop your ear and artistic instincts, and support you as you begin determining what your practice might look like.

Musical foundations, instrument relationships, listening, composition, and the architecture of a sound journey.

Your Conservatory education moves across eight interconnected areas of study, giving you the technical, artistic, ethical, and professional foundation from which to develop your own work.

Presence, nervous-system awareness, communication, group dynamics, and the art of holding space.

Ceremony

Ritual, symbolism, intentional language, and creating experiences with meaning.

Professional Studies

Professional identity, client experience, pricing, positioning, and the foundations of sustainable practice.

Musicianship

Ear training, expression, dynamics, silence, pacing, tonal awareness, and improvisation.

Performance

Confidence, stage presence, audience awareness, live practice, and artistic maturity.

Ethics & Leadership

Scope of practice, responsibility, cultural respect, safety, and leadership through service.

I keep each cohort intentionally small so I can get to know you and your developing practice throughout our three months together.

I’ll come to understand how you play and listen, where you feel confident, where you need support, and the questions that arise as you begin putting your education into practice.

An Education That Continues

Learning to work with sound doesn't happen only while watching a lesson.

It happens when you're choosing your first instruments. When a combination doesn't sound quite right. When you're preparing to facilitate for eight people for the first time. When you're deciding what to charge. When you're unsure how to structure an experience. When something unexpected happens in the room.

Those are the conversations I want us to be able to have.

The Fall Conservatory is designed to give you access to mentorship while you're beginning to put the work into practice.

Into the Real World.

The Conservatory is connected to my living practice as a sound artist.

When appropriate, graduates may be invited to observe, assist, or perform alongside me at select public experiences and collaborations. This creates opportunities to see how this work translates from study into an actual room, audience, and production.

These opportunities vary by event and are not required for certification.

Some practitioners enter The Conservatory knowing they want to facilitate professionally.

Others already work in yoga, wellness, therapy, education, hospitality, or the healing arts and want to thoughtfully integrate sound into what they already do.

Some simply know they're drawn to the instruments and want to study them deeply before deciding where the work will take them.

You may arrive with a collection of instruments and years of experience, or with your first bowl and the beginning of an idea.

What matters is your curiosity, your commitment, and your willingness to study.

A Letter From the Founder

For more than a decade, I've devoted my life to studying, performing, and teaching the art of sound.

I've guided thousands of participants, mentored practitioners around the world, and brought this work into private spaces, public gardens, wellness environments, corporate settings, and communities internationally.

Over those years I've become less interested in simply teaching people what to play and more interested in helping practitioners learn how to listen, how to make thoughtful artistic decisions, and how to develop work that feels like their own.

That's what The Conservatory has become.

Not a formula for creating practitioners who all sound alike.

A place to develop your foundation and begin finding your own way of working with sound.

Admissions

Who is The Conservatory by My Sound Bath designed for?

The Conservatory by My Sound Bath is a Sound Healing Practitioner Training and Certification Program designed for practitioners who feel called to study sound healing with depth, structure, mentorship, and professional standards.

Do I need prior sound healing experience to apply?

No. Readiness matters more than previous experience. We look for students who are eager to study with intention, practice with discipline, and uphold the standards of the Conservatory.

How are applications reviewed?

Every application is reviewed personally. Each cohort is intentionally kept small to preserve meaningful mentorship and individualized feedback.

Curriculum

What is The Conservatory Method™?

The Conservatory Method™ is the educational philosophy of My Sound Bath Conservatory. It develops trusted, professionally prepared Sound Healing Practitioners through musicianship, facilitation, ceremony, ethics, mentorship, performance, and assessment.

What will I learn during the 12-week Conservatory?

You’ll study across eight academic departments: Sound, Facilitation, Ceremony, Professional Studies, Musicianship, Performance, Ethics & Leadership, and Mentorship & Assessment.

Why do you teach musicianship instead of focusing only on instruments?

Because instruments are tools. Musicianship is the education. We believe exceptional sound experiences come from practitioners who understand how sound works, how to hold space, and how to serve with artistry and care.

Certification

Will I become certified?

Students who successfully fulfill the Conservatory's graduation requirements and demonstrate practitioner competency graduate as Certified Sound Healing Practitioners through My Sound Bath. Because My Sound Bath is an Approved Training Provider with the Complementary Medical Association (CMA), graduates are eligible to apply separately for Professional Membership with the CMA. Acceptance is subject to the CMA's application process and membership requirements. This training also qualifies for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education (YACEP®) hours for eligible yoga teachers.

Is certification earned through attendance alone?

No. Certification is the recognition of demonstrated competency. Students are expected to participate, practice, complete assignments, and pass the graduation assessment.

Experience & Logistics

How much time should I expect to dedicate each week?

Most students should plan for weekly independent study, live classes every other week, alternating mentorship office hours, personal practice, and preparation for their final assessment.

Are the live classes recorded?

Yes. Live Conservatory classes are recorded when possible so students can revisit the material throughout the program.

Do I need to own instruments before starting?

No. You do not need a full instrument collection to begin. The Conservatory will help you understand how to choose instruments thoughtfully and build a collection with intention.

Professional Practice

Can I start a sound healing practice after graduating?

Yes. The Conservatory is designed to prepare students to lead sound experiences with confidence, safety, artistry, and professional standards.

Can I integrate sound healing into my existing profession?

Yes. Many students integrate sound into yoga, therapy, coaching, healthcare, education, retreats, private sessions, and wellness spaces.

Is this training trauma-informed?

Yes. Students study nervous system regulation, ethical facilitation, client safety, and trauma-informed principles for holding space with care and discernment.

Tuition

How much is tuition?

Tuition for the September 2026 Conservatory is $5,555. Payment plans are available to make tuition more accessible without compromising the Conservatory experience.

What is included in tuition?

Tuition includes lifetime Video Vault access, eight live Conservatory classes, six live mentorship office hours, one private Artist Mentorship session, WhatsApp community support, performance assessment, certification, and alumni community access.
